Australia walks climate talks tightrope

The COP 24 Climate talks in Poland are in their final marathon session today.

The United Nations COP conferences are the annual process that determines what collective action the world takes on climate change.

Right now more than one hundred ministers and more than a thousand negotiators from around the world are hammering out the so-called "Paris Rulebook" that will define how Paris agreement pledges will be put into action. In the thick of it all is the Australian delegation.

But it's walking a tightrope between the Paris obligations and support for fossil fuels.
