Dr Rebecca Colvin has joined the Crawford School of Public Policy as a Lecturer in the Resources, Environment and Development program. Bec will continue her research on the social dimension of climate and environmental issues, with a particular interest in conflict and identity. From 2016-2019, she was the Knowledge Exchange Specialist of the Climate Change Institute at the Australian National University. Ruth O'Connor has now joined the CCI team in this role.
In this space, Bec’s research interests include how people connect to each other to bridge disciplinary divides, and the social influences on decision-making. Before coming to the ANU, Bec completed a PhD at The University of Queensland which explored ways of understanding social conflict about the environment through using the social identity approach to interrogate processes of stakeholder and community engagement.
