Dr. Imran Ahmad is currently an Honorary Associate Professor at the Fenner School of Environment and Society (Australian National University) where he contributes to thought leadership and research on climate change and sustainable development. He has been the Founding Director of Future Earth Australia, hosted by the Australian Academy of Science, where he lead and established the global sustainability initiative in Australia and the Oceania region. He has a demonstrated track record of achievements in senior management positions in international organizations, United Nations and government. He has been member of various United Nations expert groups and is a WWF-Australia Governor. Dr. Ahmad is the former Director of East-Asia and Pacific at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Seoul where he lead green growth initiatives in the East-Asia and Pacific region. He is a global expert on climate change and sustainable development and has been involved in leading climate change, energy, environment and sustainable development programs, policies and programs for over 25 years largely in the Asia-Pacific region. He regularly speaks on climate change, energy and sustainable development at high-level events.
