Culture, society, gender & climate change
Women are often portrayed as vulnerable to the impacts of climate change in Asia and the Pacific, with less information available about how to respond and adapt. Some adaptation options may put a disproportionate burden on women, particularly in agriculture. Researchers at ANU are exploring the role, influence and impact of gender on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The ANU Climate Change Institute also works closely with the ANU Gender Institute to highlight the work of relevant researchers.
